ANTA DESIGN

This building is located in the King and John area, down town Toronto, and is approximately 110 years young. It is a two and a half story Street Town-house with the basement halfway out of the ground. This style of building is commonly called, a Brownstone. As older buildings are usually quite cut up inside with separate rooms, we had to completely re-structure all the bearing walls, floors and the roof to accommodate the open concept design. The lower level was converted into the Encomium Art Gallery. The design is a wide-open airy concept with floating ceilings and walls. Custom direct lighting was selected and installed in specific locations to highlight the artwork. Indirect lighting was installed behind walls and ceilings to create a complimentary atmosphere to the many great works hung on the walls. The first floor was converted into offices with a boardroom and a mini kitchen. The 2nd and 3rd floors were converted into a very spacious open concept 2 bedroom apartment with a large 3rd floor deck over looking the city
